  • Allu Arjun has emerged as a pan India star post success of Pushpa 1.
  • Now he is being paid at par with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Pushpa: The Rise’s massive pan-India success has added more value to the stardom of Allu Arjun. Of course, he was a Tollywood superstar even before the release of this film but Pushpa has certainly done wonders for his career as now he has a huge fan following among Bollywood fans as well. So naturally, the hype for the sequel of this film is also very high. Interestingly, the unprecedented success of Pushpa: The Rise has not only escalated the star power of Allu Arjun but has also made him a highly bankable star.

As a result, producers are ready to pay him hefty remuneration for his films. Reportedly, the Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo actor has charged a whopping sum of Rs 125 crore for Pushpa 2 which is quite mindboggling. Until now only two Indian actors- Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have been offered such a huge amount.

According to a buzz, Sajid Nadiadwala readily accepted Salman’s demand of Rs 125 crore as remuneration for his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. That makes Allu Arjun one of the biggest superstars in India.

Coming to the release of the sequel, it was earlier expected that Pushpa: The Rule will hit the theaters somewhere in the second half of 2023. But now it has been postponed and may release in 2024, even though the exact date for the same is not yet confirmed.

The delay was caused because the Telugu film fraternity put a stop to working last month and that is the reason why shootings of many Tollywood movies were put on hold. As a result, Pushpa 2’s shooting schedule was also delayed.

Recently, during a press meet for her Bollywood debut movie Goodbye, Rashmika Mandanna shared that soon they will start shooting for the sequel. Once the shooting starts in full form, a tentative release date for Pushpa 2 might be declared.
