The highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film, ‘Pushpa 2,’ featuring Allu Arjun, is creating a buzz as it gears up for its August 15 release. Currently in brisk production in Hyderabad, the film's focus is on completing the talkie portion before delving into its much-discussed special item number.

Despite earlier speculations about Telugu actress Sreeleela's involvement in the song and reports of a hefty demand of 2 crore, recent updates suggest that the idea has been temporarily shelved.

According to an OTT Play report, the delay is attributed to music director DSP as he has yet to crack the tune for the special number.

Reportedly, with the release date quickly, the makers of Pushpa 2 are intentionally prioritizing the completion of the main narrative and have pushed the special song on the back burner until the musical composition is cracked.

Earlier it was rumoured that Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who appeared in a special song ‘Oo Antava Mava’ in the first instalment, would be appearing in the second part also. However, recent reports reveal that Samantha declined the opportunity, leading to considerations for actress Sreeleela. However, confirmation is awaited from actresses.

Apart from Allu Arjun, ‘Pushpa 2’ features Fahadh Faasil, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Sunil and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles.

Reportedly, the film's action sequences, notably the key Jathara sequence, were successfully filmed over the last two weeks at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
