Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun arrested over Hyderabad theatre stampede incident

Actor Allu Arjun has been arrested in connection with the stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, which resulted in the tragic death of one individual and left her son critically injured.

According to reports, Chikkadpally Police arrested actor Allu Arjun from his Jubilee Hills residence and took him into custody.

As per ANI reports, Allu Arjun has been brought to the Chikkadpally police station for questioning regarding the death of a woman at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, during the premiere of his movie Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad.

Notably, the incident occurred at the iconic Sandhya Theatre in RTC X Cross Roads, Hyderabad.

Following a complaint by the deceased’s family, a case was registered against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chikkadpally police station.

After the incident, Allu Arjun announced financial assistance of ₹25 lakh to the family of the deceased woman.

Earlier, Allu Arjun had filed a plea to quash the FIR and sought a stay on all further proceedings, including arrest in connection with the case.
