The music launch event of Tarang Cine Production’s upcoming Odia movie 'Pushkara' was held in a grand manner in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

The music launch was held at the Bhajan Mandap near Lingaraj Temple in the presence of the film’s lead actors and crew. The music was unveiled by the servitors of Lord Lingaraj.

Veteran Congress leader Sura Routray was also present at the audio launch of the film and praised the movie for its spiritual and mythological subject.

The film’s producer, lead actors Sabyasachi Mishra and Supriya along with singers offered prayers to Lord Lingaraj before the function seeking the Almighty's blessing for the success of the film.

“The film has two songs and one theme song. Today we are unveiling one of the songs while we have kept the other song as a surprise for the audience,” said actor Sabyasachi.

He further added that the second song has some spoilers that might reveal the storyline, so they are keeping it under wraps so that the audience can witness it on the big screen.

Pushkara is based on eminent writer Sankar Tripathy’s Odia novel Nadabindu. The movie gives a peek into different waning traditional rituals and cultures of Odisha. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on Ganesh Puja, September 19.

The movie marks the directorial debut of DOP-turned-director Subhranshu Das and writer Shankar Tripathy himself has penned down the dialogues.

Apart from Sabyasachi and Supriya, the movie has an ensemble cast, which includes veteran actors like Asrumochan Mohanty and Choudhury Bikash Das and late actors like Pintu Nanda and Rabi Das, among others.
