Actress Priyanka Chopra’s popular restaurant ‘Sona’ in New York is reportedly going to close its doors permanently. The news comes days after the global star pulled out of the partnership with the restaurant. If reports are to be believed, the restaurant will shut down after a final brunch on June 30.

Inaugurated three years ago, it was one of the most visited restaurants in New York with several celebrities visiting it for Indian food. Through a statement on Instagram, the restaurant stated, “After more than three remarkable years, Sona will be closing. We have immense gratitude for everyone who walked through our doors. It’s been our greatest honour to serve you.”

They added, “Thank you to our dedicated team who serve delicious food, smiles and warmth daily. Sona’s final service will be brunch on Sunday, June 30.”

“We hope to see you for a final meal or drink. Our doors and arms are open,” the statement concluded.

Worth mentioning, Priyanka Chopra had joined hands with Maneesh Goyal to start the New York restaurant in 2021. However, over unknown reasons, the actress reportedly ended her partnership with the establishment in late 2023.

The reason for the sudden shutting down of the once famous restaurant is yet to be known.

On the professional front, Priyanka has been filming for ‘The Bluff’ in Australia for a few days now. She has been cast opposite Karl Urban for the first time in the movie. The film will stream on Prime Video.
