The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 concluded on an extraordinary note, with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clinching their third title after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The night was worth remembering for superstar Shah Rukh Khan who is the owner of KKR.
The crowd at the stadium reverberated with KKR chants as the Shreyas Iyer-team cruised past the 113-target mark set by SRH. Later, King Khan was spotted celebrating the victory with the players and his family on the field. He was accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan, sons Abraham, Aryan Khan and wife Gauri Khan. Meanwhile, SRK’s contemporaries and industry friends congratulated the superstar on his historic triumph.
Punjab Kings owner Preity Zinta and SRK’s Veer Zaara co-star was the first person to congratulate SRK. Through a sweet social media post, Preity wrote, “Congratulations on such an incredible win and your third IPL title Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla. Hard luck Sunrisers Hyderabad. You guys were great throughout the tournament.”
Although Preity Zinta’s team played really well at the beginning of the IPL season, PBKS failed to make it in the last few league matches, thereby being dropped from the playoff.
Similarly, SRK’s best friend and filmmaker Karan Johar also extended congratulatory messages and wrote, “Bhai ka victory. IPL 2024 ka trophy mil gaya. Badhai ho. Love you bhai. Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo re.”
