Preity Zinta devastated over attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, voices anger
Veteran Bollywood actress Preity Zinta expressed serious concern over the unrest in Bangladesh and the attack on minorities in the neighbouring country. The actress labelled the atrocities on Hindus as ‘intolerable’ and called the interim government to take swift and decisive action to stop the violence.
She also called the Muhammad Yunus-led government to make arrangements to protect the lives, property and honour of the Hindus in Bangladesh.
“Devastated & heartbroken to hear of the violence in Bangladesh against their minority population. People killed, families displaced, women violated & places of worship being vandalized & burnt. Hope the new govt. takes appropriate steps in stopping the violence & protecting its people. My thoughts & prayers for everyone facing hardship 🙏 #SaveBangladesiHindus,” Preity shared on X.

Her post comes hours after the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) functionaries met Home Minister Amit Shah and urged him to take ‘immediate indispensable action’ for the safety of Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh.
Worth mentioning, Bangladesh has entered into crisis after a change in the political scenario as their former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign from the post after massive anti-government protests turned violent.
Several videos of violence against the Hindu minority community in Bangladesh are all over social media.
