Prabhas to play dual roles in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit

Prabhas is currently riding high with the massive success of his latest film, Kalki 2898 AD. The Salaar star has an exciting line-up of projects, including upcoming instalments of the Kalki cinematic universe, Raja Saab, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit.

According to reports, the pan-Indian star plans to kick-start the filming of Spirit by January 2025. If rumours are true, Prabhas will play a double role in Vanga’s film.

Reports suggest that Prabhas will portray both the protagonist and the antagonist in Spirit, marking his first experiment with an entirely negative character.

The film, touted as an action thriller, will feature Prabhas as a cop, while the antagonist's details remain under wraps. It's speculated that the villain, also played by Prabhas, will make his entry during the interval block. However, none of these reports have been officially confirmed by the Spirit team. Despite this, fans of the Kalki 2898 AD actor and Telugu cine-goers are eagerly awaiting his first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

The rumour mill also hints that Spirit is being made on a whopping budget of over Rs. 300 crore. The film's shooting is expected to start in January 2025 and will be shot in multiple schedules over more than two years. If reports are accurate, Spirit will hit theatres by the final quarter of 2026, likely as a Christmas release in December.
