Rebel star Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ is refusing to slow down at the box office. The action-drama has been shattering records with each passing day. Just within a week of its release, Salaar has managed to surpass Rs 500 crore in global collections.

Even after a week, the film is still going strong and earning in double digits. With no big releases, Salaar is expected to cross the Rs 600 crore worldwide collections. Though the Prashanth Neel-directorial is seeing a gradual decline during the weekdays, it is likely to pick up the pace during the weekends.

At the domestic box office, the seven-day total collection stands at Rs 308.90 crore. It has easily emerged as the winner of the Christmas clash with superstar SRK’s ‘Dunki’. Directed by 3 Idiots fame director Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki is also doing well in movie theatres, although the movie is doing below expectations as compared to Hirani’s previous movies.

With blockbuster movies like Munna Bhai MBBS, 3 Idiots, and PK, fans expected another superhit in the form of ‘Dunki’.

Although the film is receiving rave reviews for the performance of SRK and Taapsee Pannu, the box office collection is below expectations.

The Shah Rukh-starrer has failed to beat Prabhas’ Salaar. The action-packed drama written and helmed by KGF fame director Prashanth Neel has given a new release of life to Prabhas who was under the burden of three back-to-back flop movies like Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush.

The film has resurrected Prabhas’ career as he will be next seen in Kalki and ‘Animal’ fame director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’.
