Prabhas' Salaar Part 2 may rope in new actor to play pivotal role

On the star-studded occasion of the Salaar team's celebration, one sight that stole the show was Akhil Akkineni’s presence. And fans are all excited wondering if Akhil is going to be a part of Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam. 

Adding to the rumour, it is also expected that he might play the role of Prabhas’s character Deva’s younger brother in the movie.

With a black outfit, pushed-back hair, and a bandaged hand, Akhil is seen among the other casts of Salaar including Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Sriya Reddy, and the director Prashanth Neel.

The speculation is that Akhil’s bandaged hand might be the result of his shooting or a mishap while working out. It is to be noted that Akhil is currently working on a Surendra Reddy project that is yet to be announced.

Since the release of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire in December 2023, the movie has collected more than Rs 725 crore at the box office and is still going strong. While everyone was eager to see the team celebrate the occasion, Akhil’s presence was a happy surprise and a source of rumours.

Adding fuel to the ongoing rumours, the actor shared a photo of the moment on social media, and wrote, “An evening to cherish and remember!”

It is said that Akhil joined the celebration of the Salaar team's success party event just as a guest. However, whether Akhil will be a part of Salaar Part 2 or not is yet to be confirmed officially.
