Prabhas’ project with Pathaan helmer Siddharth Anand put on hold

Bollywood director Siddharth Anand bounced back to the headlines with the monstrous box office collection of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan . Following the immense success of Hrithik Roshan starrer War and SRK’s Pathaan, YRF has roped in Anand for the most ambitious project under YRF’s Spy Universe, tentatively titled, Tiger vs Pathaan. 

However, prior to Pathaan and Tiger vs Pathaan, Anand was in talks with Prabhas for an action-packed movie to be bankrolled by Mythri Productions.

Soon after the reports of Anand and Prabhas teaming up was out, the project was touted to be one of the biggest collaborations. Even reports were abuzz that Anand was signed for an amount of Rs 65 crore. However, it seems all the attempts and efforts have failed to unite Anand and Prabhas.

As per the latest reports, the ambitious project has been officially put on hold. 

PinkVilla, quoted a source close to the development as saying, “In fact, Siddharth Anand has also refunded the amount he got as an advance for the film. Mythri and Siddharth Anand have now decided to collaborate on another project in the near future.”

Further, the source added that the dates of Anand and Prabhas were not matching which forced the makers to part ways. 

“Siddharth Anand and Prabhas are two of the busiest people in the Indian Film Industry at this point of time. They have their diaries blocked for the next few years, and are not able to find a common window for their collaboration,” the source added.

Further, hinting about the probabilities of Anand teaming up with Prabhas, the source said, “Prabhas has 3 films under his kitty lined up whereas Siddharth Anand too has committed himself to Fighter and Tiger vs Pathaan. In fact, Siddharth is already planning Fighter 2 with his team after Tiger vs Pathaan.”

Once the director and actor are relatively free and chalk out dates, the talks for the project might resume, the source revealed. 

On the work front, Prabhas is all set for Adipurush release and excitement among his fans is elevating as the release date is inching closer. On the other hand, his action-packed Salaar is also one of the most anticipated movies.
