While anticipation among fans of the Darling is skyrocketing for his upcoming project Radhe Shyam opposite Pooja Hegde, movie lovers are quite excited for the release date of his another flick Adipurush.

On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, as promised, Prabhas and team have announced the release date for Adipurush, which is a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana.

While Prabhas will be seen as Raghav, Kriti Sanon will be portraying the character of Janaki and Saif Ali Khan's screen name in the movie will be Lankesh.

Recently during an interview, director Om Raut had revealed that he aimed to present Lord Rama as a normal human and not as a divine, to make him more approachable in the movie. The helmer decided to alter the screen names of the lead characters with an aim to make the storytelling simple and engaging. Raut has come up with such an idea to narrate the epic tale Ramayana in his own way. Adipurush is expected to be a bit different than Valmiki's Ramayana or from the TV serials or movies made earlier.

Prabhas's Adipurush literally means 'first man' but this movie portrays Lord Rama as the best man. The film will be dubbed in several south Indian languages apart from Hindi.

Prabhas, following the stupendous success of Baahubali series, somehow failed to impress a set of audience with Saaho. But now, the Rebel star is all set to enthrall his fans throughout the year in different characters.

On the work front, the ‘Baahubali’ is currently busy with Project K along with Millennium Star Amitabh Bachchan. Moreover, he is also working with KGF fame Prashanth Neel in Salaar.
