Tollywood star Prabhas is currently prepping up for his upcoming movie Adipurush, which is a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana. While the team announced locking the release date for January 12, 2023, fans are eyeing for more updates related to the movie.

However, the current buzz in the industry is that the makers are most likely to release the first glimpse of the movie, though, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.

By now, all are aware that the Baahubali fame wrapped up his shooting for Adipurush in November first week, last year. While the screen name of Prabhas in the movie will be Raghav, Kriti Sanon will be Janaki. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan will be portraying the character of Demon King Ravana and his screen name in the movie will be Lankesh.

Helmed by director Om Raut, Adipurush will also feature Sunny Singh as Laxman. Though the director had revealed earlier that Adipurush's story will be simple and engaging as Prabhas and others will be presented as normal humans and not divines, fans are waiting eagerly for more updates. So, if the rumours are anything to go by, everyone will get the first glance of Adipurush on April 10.

Adipurush is expected to be a bit different from Valmiki's Ramayana or from the TV serials or movies made earlier.

Expectations Still Remain High...

Prabhas' latest release Radhe Shyam failed to woo the fans like Saaho. After the roaring success of the Baahubali series, expectations from the lead actor among all movie lovers reached the zenith. However, Saaho failed miserably to impress a section of the audience and it was repeated with Radhe Shyam.

However, going by the makers’ claims, Radhe Shyam had a whopping collection of Rs 400 crore worldwide in the first 10 days.

Film's spokesperson Nikil Murukan had tweeted, " “#RadheShyam made a business of 400 Crores in just 10 days It has globally collected over 200 crs via theatrical release & 200+ crs via non-theatrical rights (sic),”

However, some other reports suggested that the actual collection was Rs 120 crore.

After opening on a positive note in theatres, the craze among movie lovers for Radhe Shyam gradually decreased. The movie failed to leave an impression at the box office countrywide. The film’s gross collection also declined during the weekdays which never recovered later.

Moreover, the release of The Kashmir Files had an adverse impact on the movie shattering the hopes of the makers. Adding to that, RRR movie release on March 25 also shared a part in the downfall of Radhe Shyam.

Even, as per the latest reports, RRR has shattered the records of Baahubali 2 at the worldwide box office to become the highest-grossing Indian movie. Though director SS Rajamouli continued his record-breaking spree and broke his previous record, it was Prabhas who slipped down in terms of gross box office collection.

Even after the poor performance of Radhe Shyam and the debacle of Saaho, fans of Darling Prabhas have high hopes that their Baahubali will rise once again to woo his fans worldwide with Adipurush and set records.
