Just a few weeks after Anupamaa actress Anagha Bhosale quit showbiz and started her spiritual journey, another popular actress has left the Telly industry to become a sanyasi. The decision of the actress has taken her fans by surprise. After enthralling fans for 27 years, the sudden decision of the actress to renounce showbiz and become a sanyasi has left her fans heartbroken.
The actress is none other than Diya Aur Baati Hum fame Nupur Alankar. The gorgeous actress has currently vacated her rent house in Mumbai and moved to the Himalayas.
Speaking on her decision, Nupur said, “I have always been inclined towards spirituality. It was only a matter of time that I became a sanyasi. As of now, I’m busy visiting pilgrimage places and helping the needy.”
Her spiritual guru is Shambhu Sharan Jha whom she met via CINTAA.
The actress says she has no interest in acting now.
Speaking to ETimes, she said, “There is no place for drama in my life anymore. I am done with all the pretence and falsity that were resort to on screen and off it.”
Her husband Alankar Srivastava, whom she married in 2002, has also fully supported her decision.
“He has freed me and his family has accepted my decision. I wish my husband the best in life. My marriage was great till it lasted,” Nupur added.
Earlier actress Anagha Bhosale, who played the role of Nandini in popular Television show Anupamaa, quit showbiz. She mentioned that there’s too much pressure and politics in the industry. She also added there is a lot of hypocrisy in the showbiz world.
