Popular Tamil and Malayalam actress Lakshmi Menon has found herself in the middle of a major controversy after being named in a shocking case involving the kidnapping and assault of an IT professional in Kochi.
Visuals of the actress, along with a few others, blocking a car and engaging in a heated argument have since gone viral on social media, sparking massive outrage.
According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday night at a bar on Banerjee Road in Kochi. The dispute allegedly started as a verbal argument but escalated quickly. Later, the group, reportedly including the actress, stopped the victim’s car near the North Bridge as he was heading home.
Police sources revealed that the IT professional was forcibly taken into another car and driven to the Paravur area, where he was assaulted. The North Police have arrested three individuals so far in connection with the incident, one of whom is said to be a close friend of Lakshmi Menon.
