Samantha Ruth Prabhu crossed 20 million followers on Instagram yesterday. Indeed, it is a big achievement for any Southern star because very few actresses have been able to reach there. Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal have already crossed 20 million followers and are way ahead of other Southern divas like Rakul Preet Singh and Tamannaah Bhatia.
But surprisingly, Pooja Hegde is yet to cross 20 million followers on Instagram despite the fact that she is currently the highest-paid Southern star. She has some of the biggest movies with big Southern superstars like Prabhas (Radhe Shyam) and Thalapathy Vijay (Beast) and Bollywood superstars like Salman Khan (Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali) and Cirkus (Ranveer Singh).
But when it comes to social media following, Pooja Hegde is way behind her contemporaries and certainly needs to gear up her social media presence. While the actress continues to attract a lot of attention on Instagram with her hot pictures just like Rashoo or Samantha, she really needs to do some stunning roles in movies to increase her reach.
Samantha has grabbed attention since the time she portrayed Raji in The Family Man 2. It was a big comeback for the sultry star who had been cutting down on work ever since she married Naga Chaitanya. But now the Bigil actress is back, post her divorce and doing item number for Pushpa 1 and on a signing spree. And all these things have certainly helped her gain more followers on Instagram. In the case of Rashoo, who has two back-to-back Bollywood releases lined up next and a biggie with Allu Arjun, she has managed to win the heart of fans across India and hence won the title of “heart crush of India.”
With 16.4 million Instagram followers Pooja Hegde still has a long way to go when it comes to her social media influence. Her recent song from Radhe Shyam with Prabhas has received a lot of love. Hopefully, the release of this movie will help her reach the level of social media popularity that her contemporaries are enjoying at present.
