Ponniyin Selvan II: Trisha, Aishwarya Rai or Vikram, who is director Mani Ratnam’s favourite?

Mani Ratnam’s highly-anticipated ‘Ponniyin Selvan: II is all set for a grand release on April 28 after the first part turned out to be a blockbuster and received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike.

The movie has an ensemble star cast of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Jayaram, Prakash Raj and Tamil superstar Vikram who are leaving no stone unturned in the promotion of the movie.

Recently, the star cast of the movie attended an interview with Pinkvilla and revealed interesting facts about the film. In one of the question and answer segments, the host questioned the stars on the favourite actor of director Mani Ratnam.

The host asked, “Okay the last question, who’s the director’s favourite?”

Without a second thought, actor Jayaram Ravi answered, “Vikram sir of course, obviously." However, Trisha joined the conversation and said, “I thought it was me.”

Jayaram again says, “Yes, but many times he told us what a fabulous actor Vikram sir is. Yeah fabulous actor and favourite person should also be him.”

To this Trisha funnily once again says, “Yes, he is director’s favourite male and I’m the female.” The whole cast then breaks out in good laughter.

Meanwhile, PS: II has become the first film from south India to have a 4DX release and will be released in theatres on April 28.
