Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated Aero India 2023- India’s biennial aerospace exhibition. The 14th edition of the Asia’s largest aero show will display indigenous equipment and technologies, military aircraft, helicopters and new-age avionics to forge partnerships with foreign companies.

The exhibition is for five days and will see the participation of 809 defence companies and delegates from 98 countries at Yalahanka Air Force station complex, on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

Just ahead of the aerospace Modi landed in Bengaluru and was welcomed by Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. Soon after landing in Bengaluru, PM Modi invited Kannada icons for a dinner party.

KGF star Yash, Kantara hero Rishab Shetty, late actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and Hombale films producer Vijay Kiragandur were among the stars present at the dinner party. Both, Rishab and Yash looked dashing in white shirts as they met PM Modi.

The stars reportedly had a brief discussion with the PM over various issues during the dinner. PM Modi also spent some quality time and talked about movies and many other things with the Kannada stars.

Rumours suggest that Yash has requested PM Modi for a film city in Bengaluru. If PM Modi keeps Yash’s request, Bengaluru will also have a massive film city and it will be a major boost for the Kannada industry.

The year 2022 might not have seen many great movies, but Kannada movies have done exceedingly well. With the super success of Kantara, KGF, 777 Charlie and Vikrant Rona, Kannada movies are increasing their fan base and popularity.
