Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan often makes it to the headlines for his rumoured relationship with the first runner-up Arunita Kanjilal. Now, Pawandeep is again in news for a Kanjilal but this time, she is not Arunita but a contestant on Superstar Singer2 whom Pawandeep has scouted for the reality.
Pawandeep, who will be donning the hat of mentor for the first time on Superstar Singer 2, is quite excited about his role and is keen to find the best singing talent for the show. On his hunt for the best singer, he met 11-year-old Sayantani Kanjilal from West Bengal who impressed everyone with her singing at the auditions.
However, when Sayantani came for the auditions greeted the judges Alka Yagnik, Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya and introduced her. They were astonished when they heard her surname and all of them looked in the direction of Arunita who was sitting with the other mentors.
Alka Yagnik asked her who had brought her, to which she replied Pawandeep Sir. Following this, Javed Ali then tried to pull Pawandeep's leg and teased him by saying, "Arre sare Kanjilal ko Pawandeep Kaise Dhundlata."
Then Pawandeep replied that when he had gone to meet Sayantani, he felt like he was meeting Arunita. Following this everyone burst into laughter.
Earlier, Pawandeep in an interview with Zoom TV, had opened up about his relationship with Arunita and clarified that they are not in a relationship. Pawan said that Arunita is too young to be in a relationship right now and she has a lot to learn before the two of them get into a relationship.
He further added that both of them are just close friends and he himself is not that old to be in a relationship at present. Rather, he needs to focus on his career at present and currently, he is more in relationship with his music.
