Pankaj Tripathi’s latest release Kadak Singh is getting a good response. The subject revolves around the disturbed relationship between a daughter and a father played by Sanjana Sanghi and Pankaj respectively. Just a week before the release of Kadak Singh, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead hit the theaters.
This movie is full of violence, bloodshed, and fights and deals with the turbulent relationship between a son and a father. There is a similarity in both movies because both Animal and Kadak Singh deal with the father and daughter/son relationship. However, apart from this one similarity both the movies have a vast difference.
Opening about the same the Mirazapur fame actor said that the Indian cinema is now in the phase of unique diversity. Pankaj Tripathi said, “It didn’t exist earlier. After the arrival of OTT, the scope of cinema has become larger. It was impossible to do all this earlier. Kadak Singh talks about the same relationship (as Animal) but in such a different manner, almost North-South Pole. Audience exists for both.”

The OMG2 actor said that the emergence of OTT has led to a change in the landscape of Indian cinema and that is the reason why different kind of content is being pushed. According to the National Award Winner, the time is right for a film like Kadak Singh, but ten years before it was not possible to produce such movies like OMG2.
Elaborating his viewpoint the actor said, “You couldn’t think about discussing sex and sex education in a film. People would say ‘Ye kya hai' (What is this). But we are doing it now. So the time has changed.” Pankaj Tripathi has become extremely popular in the last few years and his OTT projects have contributed immensely to his success.
Fans are now eagerly waiting for Mirzapur 3 to start streaming on Amazon Prime in which Pankaj Tripathi plays the lead character of Kaleen Bhaiyaa. The first two seasons of the franchise have received a lot of love and now the third season is expected to release in 2024.
