One of the most popular Indian web series, Panchayat, recently dropped its second season after a gap of two years. Like the first season, the second season of Panchayat is garnering a lot of positive reviews from critics and the audience alike.

In the first season, Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek is shown trying to cope with a ‘rural’ lifestyle while the second season focuses on his escapades in Phulera as well as his growth and acceptance.

Fans are loving the representation of astute perception of rural life, the narrative of the drama that unfolds at a leisurely pace.

Even though season 3 of Panchayat has not been officially confirmed by creators, the lead actor Jitendra Kumar has hinted that the team are hoping for another instalment leaving the fans excited.

However, Jitendra Kumar has already teased that the production team are as hopeful as we are that Panchayat season 3 will get the go-ahead sooner rather than later.

Jitendra Kumar, in a recent interview with Free Press Journal India, said he is hopeful of getting the Season 3 very soon.

“I think the viewers will love season two as well, owing to its accelerating situations and the intriguing storyline.
During the first season, people were free and had time to sit and watch many series. We received loads of love then hope this time also they take out some time. We are hoping for Panchayat season three as well,” said Kumar.

Even though there is no official confirmation from the creators, fans are hoping that the makers will soon make an official statement as the second season has many loose grounds which can be taken forward in the third season like Abhishek's transfer and Abhishek and Rinki's love story.

Apart from Jitendra Kumar, Panchayat Season 2 also stars Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav in leading roles alongside Biswapati Sarkar, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy and Pooja Singh in key roles. The show is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video .
