With 2022 just right around the corner, everyone is hoping that the pandemic might come to an end, letting things go back to normal as they were in the pre-covid world.

However, we have one thing to remain the same, i.e the luxury of binge-watching our favourite series and films from the comfort of our homes. 

As we take a step forward to this new year, here are some of the most anticipated series and films on OTT platforms to binge on in January next year:

Gehraiyaan

Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday is one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. The film is a relationship drama that dives into the “depths of complex modern relationships, adulting, letting go and taking control of ones’ life path”.

Human

Disney Hotstar's new series, Human, is a medical thriller based on Human drug trials in India. The story revolves around the world of pharmaceuticals and drug testing and how often business and ethics overlap in the quest for profits. The series has a strong ensemble cast of stars such as Shefali Shah, Kirti Kulhari, Vishal Jethwa, Ram Kapoor, Seema Biswas and Aditya Srivastava.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein

Netflix's upcoming thriller, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, starring Shweta Tripathi and Tahir Raj Bhasin in the lead promises full entertainment with all the drama, suspense and romance. The story revolves around a man who slips down a dark, risky path to reclaim his life from the clutches of a powerful politician’s daughter who will do anything to make him hers. So that he can live happily with his love of life.

Kaun Banegi Shikharwati

ZEE5’s upcoming web series Kaun Banegi Shikharwati is full of drama and comedy which takes you into the lives of princesses of a present-day royal family who are pitted against one another to inherit the throne of Shikharwati.
The series stars Naseeruddin Shah, Raghubir Yadav, Soha Ali Khan, Lara Dutta, Anya Singh, Kritika Kamra, Cyrus Sahukar and Varun Thakur.

Harry Potter: Return To Hogwarts

Harry Potter fans all over the world are in for a special treat. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the movie franchise as the original cast members of Harry Potter films reunite for the first time together on screen after their last film together in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Fans will be on a roller-coaster ride of magical nostalgia as they relieve the best moments of the franchise with the stars.
