It is Gauri Khan’s birthday today. The “ powerhouse of Mannat”, as she is popularly called, has more to her personality than just being the queen of Bollywood’s eternal Badshah Shah Rukh Khan.

From her mushy love story with SRK to her rise as an interior designer of acclaim, this 52-year-old star wife has successfully carved a niche for herself after being in the shadows of the superstar for a long time.

Gauri comes from a strict military background

Gauri Khan aka Chibbar comes from a strict military background. Her father Colonel Ramesh Chibbar was quite strict and at home, the atmosphere was quite conservative. And, that is why she faced a lot of opposition while marrying Shah Rukh as her stern Hindu family was dead against her marriage to a Muslim boy.

Her current profession is different from her studies

Gauri completed her graduation in history and later on also completed a diploma in fashion design. However, her academics are quite different from the profession of interior design she chose for herself in the later years of her life.

From being co-owner of Red Chillies to owning a furniture label and a design store

She is the co-founder of Red Chillies Entertainment along with her husband Shah Rukh and has been looking deeply into all the investments and projects of the company. Apart from that, she also has a furniture label The Charcoal Project to her name and an interior design store “Design Cell.”
