OMG 2 put on hold! Akshay Kumar busts rumours with release date

The upcoming Hindi movie ‘Oh My God 2- OMG 2’, starring Akshay Kumar, Arun Govil, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead is one of the much-anticipated movies that fans are eagerly waiting for. Soon after the makers dropped the first look of the cast and the official teaser, the excitement for the Paresh Rawal starrer’s sequel movie rose among all. 

However, fans got disheartened after the reports surfaced that OMG 2 was put on hold by the Central Board of Certification (CBFC). Even certain reports claimed that the movie got banned. However, Akshay Kumar busted the rumours and announced the release date of OMG 2. 

According to reports, OMG 2 was sent to the Revision Committee for a detailed review. Following that reports were abuzz suggesting the postponement and ban of OMG 2. However, Akki’s clarification has come as a big relief for cine lovers waiting eagerly for the movie’s release.

On Monday, the Oh My God- OMG actor shared a poster in which Pankaj Tripathi is seen riding a scooter with both his hands in the air. Meanwhile, he is surrounded by devotees and idols of the Gods around him. His note with the post read: #OMG2 in theatres on August 11.

The actor also revealed that the first song of OMG 2 will be dropped on July 18.
