The 31st Odisha State Film Awards were distributed at a ceremony organised at Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar on Monday. Eminent producer Ghanashyam Mohapatra received the prestigious Jayadev Award, Odisha’s highest cine award, for the year 2019 for his lifetime achievement and profound contribution to the Odia film industry. 

While Nila Madhav Panda’s ‘Kalira Atita’ bagged the ‘best film’ award, he was felicitated with ‘best director' award for the same film. 

Similarly, Pitobas Tripathy and Sibani Sarangi were felicitated as ‘best actor’ and ‘best actress’ award respectively. 

While late Kapileshwar Mahapatra was awarded posthumously as the ‘best writer’, Raju Mishra bagged the ‘best music director’ award. 

The ‘best playback singer for male and female’ went to Swayam Padhi for his song ‘Dekha Hela Prema Hela’ and Diptirekha Padhi for her song ‘From Me To You,’ respectively. 

The ‘best lyricist’ award was conferred upon Pradipta Chand. 

While Harihara Mahapatra was awarded as the ‘best comedian’, Boby Mishra and Banita Nag were felicitated as ‘best-supporting actor’ and ‘best-supporting actress’ respectively.
