Quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, has returned with its 14th season. The recent contestant to grace the hot seat was Jyotirmayee Mallick from Odisha.
Her sweet gestures for Big B, during the episode, made the 'angry young man' emotional. Now, the emotional moment between Big B and Jyotirmayee is doing rounds on social media.
In the video, we can see Jyotirmayee reading out a letter for Big B, that she wrote for him. In the letter, Jyotirmayee referred Amitabh Bachchan as the ‘superstar of the century.’
While sitting on the ‘hot seat’, Jyotirmayee took out the letter mentioning that “she likes him and he likes letters”.
Jyotirmayee’s letter read, “Respected Amitabh Bachchan ji, I do not know if we can ever be like you, but you have proved time and again that you are one of us. The way you pull the chair for us, wipe our tears with your own handkerchief, meet the audience… Sometimes, I think to myself, a superstar like you can only come once in a century.”
Her sweet words made Big B so emotional and he said, “Bohut Bhavuk Kiya Apne Humko (You have made me very emotional).
Shared by sonytvofficial, the caption reads, “#JyotirmayeeMallick ne @amitabhbachchan ji ke liye kaagaz par lafz nahin ehsaas piroye hain. Isiliye woh humaare mann mein misri ki tarah ghule hain!.”
Her beautiful lines made the whole comment section emotional. Comments like very emotional, brought tears to my eyes, proud moment, wow very well said were filled in the post.
This apart, Jyotirmayee expressed her happiness for meeting him in person. She thanked him for treating the contestants generously.
After she finished reading the letter, Bachchan got emotional, came near Jyotirmayee and received the letter from her saying that he will keep it with him. The cute moment received standing ovation from the audience.
The emotional episode was aired today at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television.
