Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan
Ranveer Singh announced his upcoming project with Aditya Dhar with a bang a few days ago. The Bajirao Mastani actor has been away from the camera for some time now waiting for his new movies to kick-start. Apart from Ranveer Singh, Yami Gautam, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna and R. Madhavan are also playing important roles in this period action thriller that has a geopolitical backdrop revolving around India and Pakistan.
As is known the current National Security Advisor of India, Ajit Doval has played a crucial role in the geopolitical dynamics between the two countries. He has also stayed in Pakistan undercover and helped India gain knowledge about Pakistan’s secrets and moves. So when the looks of all the actors from the movie were released in black and white, everyone jumped to the conclusion that Ranveer Singh would be playing the role of Ajit Doval.
This one is for my fans, who have been so patient with me, and been clamouring for a turn like this. I love you all, and I promise you, this time, a cinematic experience like never before.

But the latest buzz suggests that it is not the case. Although the movie will show some portion of Ajit Doval’s life, Ranveer is not going to play this role. According to Bollywood Hungama, “It is R Madhavan who plays the coveted part. He’ll have a cool, different look in the film and it’s something that the actor is excited about. Like always, he’s giving his heart and soul to this role as well. The makers are confident that it’s something to watch out for.”
It is not yet known however whether Aditya Dhar will use the name of Ajit Doval for Madhavan’s character or it will have a fictional name. And it also has made fans wonder as to the type of role Ranveer Singh will be playing in this movie.
It will be the second time Aditya Dhar will be showing Ajit Doval’s character in his movie. Earlier the character of Govind Bharadwaj, played by Paresh Rawal in Uri: The Surgical Strike was inspired by Ajit Doval.
