Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 has been grabbing the limelight ever since everyone’s favourite Shah Rukh Khan was replaced by actor Ranveer Singh in the titular role. The producers and filmmakers are facing the ire of ‘Don’ fans for replacing SRK.
However, reports suggest that it was actually SRK who opted out of the third installment of the movie due to some reasons. Speaking about the backlash around Ranveer Singh playing Don, Farhan remembered how SRK was also rebuked for taking up the role which was once aced by megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
“Ranveer is amazing. He’s great for the part. He’s also really excited and really nervous, about the thing you’re filling some big shoes before you. But we went through the same emotional process when SRK did it and everyone was like ‘Oh my God, how can you replace Mr. Bachchan?,” quipped Farhan about SRK’s replacement.
Now, after the confirmation of Ranveer, there have been a lot of speculations about the main actress in the movie. Earlier, there were reports that Ranveer would romance the stunning diva Kiara Advani in the movie.
However, latest reports suggest that it is not Kiara Advani, but the gorgeous Kriti Sanon who will play the main female lead in the action thriller. However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard.
Earlier, reports were rife that Deepika Padukone will be roped to star opposite her husband. The makers of the film want a top-notch actress as the part has a lot of intricate stunts. Only time will reveal who will finally grab the main lead.
Worth mentioning, SRK’s rendition of Don was released in 2006 and it was the official remake of Big B’s 1978 blockbuster of the same name. The film’s second part ‘Don 2’ also was a big hit too.
