Not Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor wanted Ranbir Kapoor to marry this famous Bollywood actress

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are the most adored and popular couple in the tinsel town now. Happily married for a few years now, they are giving serious couple goals with their PDA. The two started dating on the sets of Brahmastra and are now parents to a beautiful daughter ‘Raha’.

However, before marrying Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor was in a relationship with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. Much before that, he was rumoured to be his ‘Saawariya’ star Sonam Kapoor. The two made their debut together in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.

It was during their shooting Ranbir and Sonam fell in love with each other. However, their relationship did not last too long and the two called it quits. However, Sonam always maintained a good relationship with his sisters Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.

So, Karisma always wanted Ranbir Kapoor to marry Sonam. During her appearance in Koffee With Karan, Sonam was asked if she ever thought of marrying Ranbir and becoming Kareena’s sister-in-law. Sonam replied saying that Karisma, Lolo constantly wanted that, but she and Ranbir are better friends.

Later, Sonam married businessman Anand Ahuja in a traditional Sikh ceremony in May 2018. The two are parents to son Vayu. 

Soon after, Ranbir went on to date Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone before finally settling down with Alia Bhatt.

On the professional front, he was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ and is gearing up for the release of the mythological drama ‘Ramayana’.
