Firoz A. Nadiadwala-produced and Anees Bazmee-directed Welcome franchise has remained one of the most appreciated Indian comedy films. The latest revelation about the third instalment of the Welcome franchise has streamed excitement among movie lovers. Moreover, the reports of Akshay Kumar making a comeback in the movie and the inclusion of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have streamed excitement among all.

However, the latest reports will certainly break the hearts of many cine lovers. As per the latest reports, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor might not be a part of Welcome 3 and the duo will be replaced by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.

Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor were seen as Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai respectively. While the duo was seen as gangsters in Welcome, they reprised their characters in Welcome Back, in which they ended their life of crime and turned honest businessmen. Both Nana and Anil nailed their characters and their jugalbandi tickled the funny bones of many. Uday and Majnu went on to become cult characters.

However, the rib-tickling character portrayal will be missed in Welcome 3. As per a report in PinkVilla, Nana and Anil will not be seen in the third instalment.

Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development as saying, “Of the 3 films under Firoz Nadiadwala’s banner, Welcome might be the first to take off as the script is ready a while back. The filmmaker is planning to bring a spin in the narrative of this comic caper by getting Sanjay Dutt and Arshad to play the notorious gangsters – Uday and Majnu. The duo has already shown their chemistry as Munna and Circuit and now it will be time to explore the dimension in a new franchise.”

While the source stated monetary disagreement as the reason for Nana and Anil walking out, the real reason is yet to be disclosed.

Moreover, it is also expected that Suniel Shetty might be a part of Welcome 3. However, everything is kept under the wraps. Probably, the makers will soon be making an official announcement regarding the developments and final cast.
