Fantastic Four’s next instalment is one of the most anticipated movies that fans of Marvel are desperately waiting for. And now, it seems Marvel has found its Johnny Storm and Sue. However, the latest development is disheartening for fans of Chris Evans.

As per a recent report, director Matt Shakman has confirmed a new cast for the next instalment of Fantastic Four. The report quoted a source close to the director as saying that Vanessa Kirby and Stranger Things season 4-fame Joseph Quinn are going to be his new Storms, better known as the invisible woman and human torch, and the two leads of the Fantastic Four groups.

However, the source also stated that while Quinn is almost confirmed, Vanessa is yet to get a nod in the list of possible casting. The list also includes Mila Kunis and Margot Robbie.

Further, the source also revealed that the official casting will not be announced until the SAG-AFTRA strike, continuing across Hollywood, comes to an end.

While the names of these frontrunners are yet to be finalised, it seems like Marvel is still searching for the next two leads for the team of Fantastic Four. Certainly, it would be interesting to see who will replace Reed Richards in Mr. Fantastic’s role and Ben Grimm in The Thing’s character.

Well, given the circumstances, the project might get delayed. As per the earlier schedule, the shooting plans were planned to start in 2024 and the movie’s release was locked for 2025.
