The buzz around Nitesh Tiwari-directorial, Ramayan, has been very strong even though there have been no official announcements. All the reports suggest that Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will lead the three-part movie as Lord Ram and Sita.

Amidst extensive pre-production efforts, including meticulous planning of visuals and characterization, the latest report suggests that the movie goes on floors in mid-April and there is much more to it.

According to an ETimes report, the team has been busy prepping for their respective parts in the movie. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi who plays Sita, and others have begun the prep to get the era right.

Reports of Ranbir's intense training for the role have also gone viral after his fitness trainer took to Instagram to share a picture of the actor from his rigorous training session in the gym. In the photo, Ranbir is depicted in gym attire, executing a headstand with remarkable dedication and focus.

Not just that, the report also revealed that the Ramayan adaptation will go on floors in mid-April, and we can expect an announcement of the movie on Ramnavami (April 17), the day when Lord Ram was born.

As per the ETimes report,  the cast of the movie will now disappear from the public eye slowly and will dedicate their entire time to the film. They will be shooting for the Nitesh Tiwari directorial on the various sets put up in the Film City.

Beyond the confirmed leads, rumours swirl regarding the star-studded ensemble. Amitabh Bachchan is rumoured to be playing King Dashrath, Lara Dutta is in contention to play Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol is said to be playing Hanuman, Rakul Preet Singh to play Surpanakha and South Star Yash will be playing Ravana. Bobby Deol is also cast as per the reports, but there are no details about his role.

Meanwhile, reports of television actor Ravi Dubey portraying Lakshman’s role are also doing the rounds.
