Actress Nikita Dutta expressed her admiration for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's latest blockbuster, ‘Animal,’ which has amassed a remarkable Rs 835.9 crore at the global box office within just over two weeks since its release. Despite the film facing criticism for perceived misogyny, Dutta commended its success as a significant revival for the film industry post-pandemic.

Nikita, who rose to fame with her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's previous film, ‘Kabir Singh’ (2019), played Kabir's love interest in the second half of the movie. 

In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Dutta drawing parallels with Triptii Dimri's role as the 'other woman' in "Animal." She highlighted the nuanced complexities of both characters. 

The actress stated that she appreciated the depth of her character in ‘Kabir Singh’ and acknowledged the similar complexity in Triptii's portrayal in ‘Animal.’

Lauding Triptii's performance in ‘Animal,’ Nikita emphasized that the characters in both films were written with subtlety and nuance.

Reflecting on her unexpected success with ‘Kabir Singh,’ Nikita credited the film as a turning point in her career, opening doors to diverse opportunities and allowing her to focus on the films she desired.

When asked about possibly collaborating with Sandeep Reddy Vanga again, Nikita expressed her admiration for him as a person and director, describing him as amazing to work with. She expressed her willingness to collaborate with him if the right opportunity arises.

On the work front, Nikita Dutta is set to feature in Bejoy Nambiar's upcoming film, "Dangey," alongside Harshvardhan Rane.
