On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the makers of Rebel star Prabhas’ magnum opus ‘Adipurush’ unveiled a new poster of the movie on Thursday. The multilingual mythological drama, touted as a film celebrating ‘the victory of good over evil’, is an on-screen adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana.

The poster features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Sunny Singh as Laxman while Devdatta Nage is seen as Bajrang in a traditional avatar.

Unveiling the poster, Prabhas wrote, “Mantron se badhke tere naam. Jai Shri Ram.” Actress Kriti Sanon and director Om Raut also re-shared the poster of the movie on their social media handles.

The movie was earlier scheduled to release in January this year. However, the release date was pushed to June 16 after it received a lot of backlash and trolling over poor-quality VFX.

However, the new poster has once again failed to impress audience who brutally trolled the makers for the ‘edited’ poster.

“Mazak chal raha hai kya? Jo maan me araha hai wo bana k rakh diya hai… Matlab Sri Ram ka ek aura hota hai, pura gayab hai.. Adipurush is a waste of money and hurting the sentiments of Hindus also,” commented a fan.

Another user wrote, “Looks like the poster is fully edited. Body ke upar baad main faces crop kar ke paste kiya huya hai canva main… Kriti Madam ke chehre pe shadow hatana bhai bhul gaye… Very poor editing skills.”

“When Laxman had beard… why can’t u keep beard for Ram too… Prabhas would have nailed the look with beard… Om Raut you totally messed it up,” wrote another user.

Apart from Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, the movie also stars Saif Ali Khan as the lead antagonist Ravana, the King of Lanka.
