In one of her interviews, Neena Gupta shared her opinion on the casting couch. The Badhai Ho actress said, “Here, nobody forces you to sleep with them. It is you who have to decide how much you want to compromise. It’s very simple. Because if you say no then other girls are willing to say yes. Koi jabardasti aapko nahi karta. Aapko lalach ata hai ke okay so what if I sleep with him and get a role.”

She added, “And I have also written a very important point that it is not necessary that you sleep with them and they will give you a role. They might give you a small piddi little thing somewhere in the crowd or something because this is a business. If he sleeps with you he will not harm his business. He will take whosoever is saleable. So I have written it very clearly that is your choice.”
