Celebrating his OTT debut with the suspense thriller series 'Dhootha,' actor Naga Chaitanya opened up about navigating the media spotlight following his divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

In an interview with Indian Express, the actor expressed a resilient stance against the constant scrutiny of his personal life, emphasising his commitment to being recognised for his craft.

Chaitanya, who dated Samantha for four years before their 2017 marriage and subsequent 2021 separation, acknowledged the public interest but maintained a composed perspective.

He stated, "I really don’t bother about it beyond a point. People close to me will know the truth." The actor affirmed his priority to carve a legacy based on his work, asserting, "I want to be known for my work as an actor more than what’s happening in my personal life. So I try to focus more on my craft, let the movies do the talking."

The couple had released a joint statement during their separation, urging fans for privacy as they embarked on separate journeys. Despite the challenges, Chaitanya remains determined to let his cinematic endeavors define his public narrative.

On the work front, Chaitanya’s OTT debut, 'Dhootha,' features an ensemble cast including Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shanker, and Prachi Desai.

In ‘Dhootha’, Chaitanya takes on the role of a journalist uncovering dark secrets behind premonitions of impending tragedies, steering the focus back to his professional accomplishments. The series will stream on Prime Video from December 1.
