Munna Bhai 3: Big revelation by Circuit aka Arshad Warsi, deets inside

2003's Munna Bhai MBBS starring Bollywood Superstar Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, and Gracy Singh in the lead with Sunil Dutt, Boman Irani and Jimmy Shergil in pivotal roles still boasts a unique fan base. The Rajkumar Hirani-directed movie set several milestones and movie lovers still cherish the benchmark.

Munna Bhai MBBS tickled the funny bones while sending a message of being compassionate. The movie received appreciation from all quarters including 51st National Film Awards, 49th Filmfare Awards and International Indian Film Academy awards under multiple categories, Producers Guild Film Awards, Zee Cine Awards, etc. 

Following the massive success of the movie, the makers once again teamed up for the sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2006. Though the second part of the Munna Bhai franchise didn't meet up to the craze of the first part, it also was a blockbuster. 

Meanwhile, the makers also had made the announcement about the third part of the Munna Bhai franchise tentatively titled 'Munna Bhai Chale America'. A teaser of the same was released on YouTube in which Munna Bhai (Sanjay) and Circuit (Arshad) were seen preparing for their America tour. The duo was seen translating sentences from Hindi to English and vice-versa. The audience enjoyed the teaser a lot and were expecting more updates regarding the movie. But, as the makers didn't come up with any update even after many years, the fans now have lost hope.

Earlier during the trailer launch event of Bhoomi, Sanju baba was asked about part 3 of the Munna Bhai series. To this, Sanju asked the reporter to demand answers from filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who also was present at the event. As said by Chopra, the team was working on the script since three years and is yet to complete it.

"It is better to ask this question to the dialogue writer. Whenever he (Sanju) asks about the script, we reply, the work is on and we will complete it soon. As soon as the script is written, we will start the shooting the next day."

It's been over 5 years now since the maker had hinted at Munna Bhai 3, but, there are no updates about the same till date.

On the contrary, when Arshad was asked about the same during an interview, Circuit aka Arshad was quoted as saying, "I don't think part 3 will happen. I wish it would, that we could have a proper closure. We owe that much to the audience, but it's been too long."

Further, he added, "A creative person feels claustrophobic if he is asked to do the same thing over and over again. As an actor, I want to move on. I am sure Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) wants to do different things too, more so because for a director each film takes a few years of his life."

It seems, the makers have dropped the idea of 'Munna Bhai 3'. Certainly, such information will break the hearts of many!
