MS Dhoni in Thalapathy Vijay's The GOAT! Surprise cameo of Thala sends fans into frenzy, watch

In a surprising moment, cricketer MS Dhoni made a brief appearance in Thalapathy Vijay's latest film ‘GOAT’. The cameo, lasting only a few seconds, featured Dhoni in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match for his Chennai Super Kings team. This unexpected scene left the audience cheering in excitement.

In the film, Vijay's character is shown watching Dhoni's IPL match on television, leading to an outburst of applause from the audience. Although Dhoni’s appearance was brief, it was enough to send the fans into a frenzy.  They were hooting and cheering in the theatre. Fans were delighted, especially since Vijay and Dhoni are lovingly called "Thala."

‘GOAT’, directed by Venkat Prabhu, was released on Thursday and marks a significant shift in Vijay's career. 

The movie features him in dual roles alongside a star-studded cast, including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, and Sneha. With music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, ‘GOAT’ stands out as an essential project for Vijay.

Notably, ‘GOAT’ is Vijay's penultimate film before he transitions into politics. Having already launched his political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, Vijay is gearing up for the Tamil Nadu state elections in 2026.
