Actress Mrunal Thakur added another feather to her cap as she is now poised to make her much-awaited debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year.

According to a Vogue India report, the diva will be at the French Riviera from May 17 to 19 and will be donning Falguni Shane Peacock’s creation for her red-carpet debut.

“I am thrilled to be attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time,” the Sita Ramam actress was quoted saying to TOI.

“I am looking forward to interacting with global filmmakers, exploring new opportunities, and showcasing the talent that Indian cinema has to offer,” added Thakur.

Apart from Mrunal Thakur, this year Cannes Film festival will see many Bollywood celebs making their red carpet appearances at the festival. Check the Indian Cannes debut list here:

Anushka Sharma 

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma will be making her Cannes debut this year. Anushka will be sharing the stage with Hollywood actress Kate Winslet. Reportedly the duo will be honoring the remarkable contributions of women in the film industry during the prestigious event.

Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan becomes one of the youngest actresses from India to walk the red carpet at Cannes 2023. She was spotted at Mumbai airport last night as she jetted off to the French Riviera following the trailer launch of her upcoming film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.

Manushi Chillar

Manushi Chillar, actress and former Miss World, too will be making her Cannes debut this year. She is a part of the Indian delegation at the event. Her presence adds glamour and prestige to the Indian contingent at this renowned event.

As a part of the Indian contingent led by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L Murugan, Esha Gupta is all set to make her debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

Shannon K

Singer Kumar Sanu's daughter Shannon K will also make her Cannes debut. Shannon Kumar Sanu, who started her career as a singer in 2018 with 'Poo Bear', added acting feather in 2020 with 'The Big Feed' in Hollywood and an anti-bullying song, 'Give Me Your Hand' with David Arquette, Ed Westwick, Brittany Snow that has received love from a global audience.

Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone make her debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, with her film ‘Kennedy’ which also marks her first collaboration with director Anurag Kashyap.

Meanwhile, Urvashi Rautela, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anurag Kashyap and Vijay Verma will also be present at the prestigious film festival.

However, there has no confirmation from Cannes regulars – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra, if they will be attending this years festival.
