One of the last releases of 2020, the Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No.1 promised to end our otherwise unfortunate year on a happy note. But it turns out that the movie also turned out to be one of the horrors of the year. The director of the original 90’ s blockbuster David Dhawan decided to remake the Govinda’s cult hit with a modern twist and set an example that you cannot ace one thing twice.
With hammered performances, rhyming dialogues straight from school, and graphics that put even VFX freshers to shame. The movie is another testament to the fact that how cruel 2020 can be.
Ever since Coolie No.1 has dropped on Amazon Prime, the netizens started pouring in their reactions and reviews to the Varun and Sara starrer. Most of them were just precautionary tales to avoid watching the flick, while others sympathized with Govinda whose iconic movie was remade this poorly.
