Most Searched Movies on Google 2023: This Indian movie beats John Wick 2, Avatar

The year saw some big blockbusters released in Bollywood and abroad. Worldwide big films like Barbie and John Wick 2 hit the theaters and were among the top 10 movies across the globe collection-wise. But another important factor that also nowadays decides the popularity of the movie is the number of times it is searched on Google.

Check out the list of the Most Searched Movies on Google in 2023 and the good thing is that a few Hindi movies have also made it to this list.

Jawan makes it to the top 5

Barbie, the pink trendsetter of 2023 worldwide has emerged as the most searched movie on Google this year. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling movie was a huge hit and was the most loved movie for reels and memes. Since it was all about the Barbie Land and living in that fantasy land, Barbie gave rise to a lot of new pink dressing trends and fashions.

Barbie is followed by much-talked Oppenheimer in the second spot. This Christopher Nolan movie featured Cillian Murphy playing the real-life role of Robert Oppenheimer, the world-famous physicist. And on the third spot is Atlee-directed Jawan which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in the lead. The huge response to this movie in the US and other parts of the world once again proved that both SRK and Indian cinema have grown globally and have a massive following everywhere.

The other two movies in the top 5 are Sound of Freedom and John Wick 4.

Gadar 2 in the last 5, Pathaan manages to make an entry

On the 6th spot is Avatar: The Way of Water. Although this James Cameron movie could not meet the standards of the earlier movies from the same franchise it is still the 6th most-searched movie on Google in 2023. Everything Everywhere All at Once is in the 7th spot while Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 is in the 8th position.

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s Gadar 2 was one of the biggest surprises of 2023 as it made a lifetime overall business of more than 500 crores and even managed to beat YRF’s Pathaan in the domestic circuit. Creed 3 and Pathaan finished the list grabbing 9th and 10th spot respectively.

It is very surprising that Pathaan released in 2022 still managed to find a spot in the Most Searched Movie on Google in 2023 list and speaks of the immense popularity of this Siddharth Anand-directed blockbuster.
