OTT platforms are producing content at a breakneck pace, with new releases arriving every week. Whether you want action, drama, romance, or mystery, OTTs have something for everyone. 

Netflix will stream one of the most awaited spy thrillers Mission Majnu, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna while Rakul Preet Singh-starring film Chhatriwali will release on ZEE5. For the post-apocalyptic fans, Disney+ Hotstar is bringing the HBO special 'The Last of Us while Netflix has the Korean drama Jung_e. 

The third week of January has an array of great selections of movies and web series to choose from. With so many releases, you must be confused. So, we have listed the best movies and series streaming this week.

Mission Majnu

Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, Mission Majnu is one of the most talked about titles releasing this month. Set in the 1970s, the film follows the journey of an undercover Indian spy, who takes on a deadly mission to expose a covert nuclear weapons program taking place in the heart of Pakistan.  However, it won’t be an easy task as he’ll need to overcome several obstacles to succeed in his mission.

Chhatriwali

Sanya is an unemployed chemistry genius looking for a job. However, she also wants to use her knowledge of chemistry to help young minds move beyond the taboos of sex with the right education. The film aims to address the seriousness of safe sex and use of contraceptives.  The film helmed by Tejas Deoskar stars Rakul Preet Singh and Sumeet Vyas in lead roles.

JUNG_E

In a post-apocalyptic near-future, a researcher at an AI lab leads the effort to end a civil war by cloning the brain of a heroic soldier – her mother.  This highly engaging  K-drama stars Kang Soo-Yeon, Kim Hyun-Joo, and Ryu Kyung-soo.

Fauda Season 4

Popular Israeli series Fauda is all set to return with a brand new season. The show follows  an undercover Israeli operative, who is forced to come out of retirement when a shadow from the past starts to affect his peaceful life.  High on action, drama, and mystery, the new season of Fauda will follow Doron and his former squad venture on a mission abroad when new enemies nursing old resentments strike at the heart of Shin Bet’s operation.

The Last Of Us

The Last of Us is a nine-episode miniseries with a plot similar to the popular 2013 PlayStation game. The plot of the series revolves around a survivor who helps a teenage girl escape the quarantine zone. What follows is a brutal journey for survival as they battle blood-thirsty zombie-like survivors and more. The series features an ensemble cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Nick Offerman, and Gabriel Luna.
