Mrunal Thakur's acting prowess leaves an indelible mark with each portrayal on the screen. From ‘Love Soniya’ to ‘Hi Nanna,’ she delves deep into characters, crafting magical stories on screen.

In her latest release, ‘Family Star,’ alongside Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal's performance once again emerged as a shining beacon, captivating audiences with her portrayal, despite the film being faltered at the box office.

Reflecting on her journey, she confessed to the challenges she faced, recounting missed opportunities due to intimate scenes. Despite the setbacks, she refused to compromise on her principles.

In an interview with iDiva, Mrunal bared her struggles, admitting her initial discomfort with intimate scenes. She recounted instances where she declined roles solely due to such demands, fearing the repercussions.

"I was not really comfortable doing scenes which were intimate, like romantically. I would just get scared, I’d just say no to a film, but how long could I say no? There was a point I had to sit down with my parents and tell them ‘Papa, I cannot miss a part because sometimes it’s there, it’s not my choice.'" The actress in the same interview further added," As much as I wanted to do a film, I had to drop because there was a kissing scene involved. As an actor, you need to be ready because sometimes that’s the demand (of the scene). If you are not comfortable, you can tell, you can talk about it but I kept missing out on films because of that."

However, recognizing the need to navigate this aspect of the industry, she initiated a heartfelt conversation with her parents, elucidating the intricacies of her profession.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mrunal will next be seen in Pooja Meri Jaan, directed alongside Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz. She also has several projects in pipeline including Vishwambara, Baahubali: Before the Beginning, STR48, and more.
