Malayalam superstar Nivin Pauly accused of 'gangrape', actor says ‘don’t know the girl’

Premam fame actor Nivin Pauly landed in trouble after a woman alleged that he sexually abused her at a hotel in Dubai last year after promising her a role in a film. The woman from Ernakulam district has also named five others, including a producer, in her complaint.

Nivin has been named as the sixth accused in her FIR. However, the ‘Ohm Shanthi Oshaana’ actor outrightly denied the allegations and called them untrue. Taking to his Instagram handle, Pauly said the allegations were entirely untrue and he was ready to face legal challenges to prove his innocence.

“I have come across a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please know that this is entirely untrue. I’m determined to go to any extent to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally,” Pauly said in an Instagram post.

“I’m here and not going to run away,” the actor further added. The actor also mentioned that he hadn’t met the complainant and expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

After the Hema Committee report release, a case has been registered against a number of other prominent actors including Jayasurya, Baburaj, Siddique, film director Ranjith and many others.
