Makar Sankranti is one of the major slots when most of the Southern movies are released as the festival is celebrated in high spirit in this region and holidays are around the corner. And that is why some of the big movies are slated to release during Makar Sankranti next year.

The first biggie is Om Raut-helmed mega flick Adipurush which will have Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan playing important roles. The movie has been inspired by the Indian mythological epic Ramayana and will showcase Prabhas and Kriti as Ram and Sita respectively whereas Saif will play Ravana, the antagonist.

Om Raut’s last release Tanhaji with Ajay Devgn in the lead was a big hit which is why Adipurush has already received a big hype and with such a stellar star cast all eyes will be on this movie when it will release on Makar Sankranthi 2023.

Another biggie that is eyeing release on Makar Sankranti next year is the Shankar-helmed movie that also stars Ram Charan and Bollywood star Kiara Advani in the lead. The producer of the movie- Dil Raju has already announced that the film will hit the theaters during Makar Sankranthi 2023.

The release of yet another Southern biggie titled Koratala Siva starring Junior NTR in the lead is also being planned around Makar Sankranti next year. The shooting of this action thriller will start in May 2022.

Chiranjeevi’s movie with Bhola Shankar and Bobby is also gearing up to release during Makar Sankranti 2023 and the team is trying hard to complete the shooting fast so that they are able to release the film in January 2023 to take advantage of the festive holiday season.

So, a big clash of four top movie stars from the Southern movie industry is expected at the start of next year.
