Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir slammed for criticising India’s Operation Sindoor
In the wake of India’s Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched in retaliation of the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Pakistani actors, including Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir, have come under fire for their public condemnation of the operation.
The strikes, which targeted terror hideouts across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), were hailed as a necessary response to the April 22 massacre that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, mostly tourists.
On May 7, Indian forces carried out precise, nighttime airstrikes on nine terror camps, resulting in the neutralisation of dozens of terrorists.
However, in Pakistan, the response from certain celebrities has been highly critical. Both Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir took to social media to express their disapproval of the operation, calling it 'cowardly'.
Their posts, which were initially blocked in India due to the ongoing tensions, were quickly shared by NRIs on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), sparking outrage across Indian social media.
Indian social media users, particularly NRIs, reacted with intense anger, accusing the Pakistani stars of hypocrisy. Many pointed out that while these celebrities condemned India’s military action, they had remained silent during the horrific Pahalgam attack, in which terrorists killed innocent people based on their religion.
One popular tweet read, “Where were you when terrorists killed our people just because they weren’t Muslim? Allah tumhari nahi, hamari raksha kare tum jaiso se.”
I'd like mahira khan to answer this since you broke your silence about our operation sindoor.

The outrage was further fueled by comments from other Indian users, who mocked the Pakistani stars for their perceived audacity to criticise India while their own country allegedly harboured terrorists.
Some questioned the actors’ motives, saying, “Hania Aamir and her low IQ fan brigade really thought they could waltz into Bollywood while their country harbours terrorists?”
In addition to Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir, other Pakistani actors such as Fawad Khan and Mawra Hocane also reportedly shared their disapproval of the operation, further intensifying the controversy.
Their comments fueled the ongoing debate about the role of entertainment figures in shaping public opinion during times of political and military tension between the two nations.
