SS Rajamouli greeting locals in Koraput during SSMB29 farewell
Renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the people of Koraput for their warm hospitality. The duo penned a special note acknowledging the district's generosity and welcoming spirit.

The filmmakers and actors shared their admiration for the scenic beauty of Koraput while filming at the Talimali shooting location. Following an intensive 15-day shooting schedule, Rajamouli, along with South Indian superstar Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, wrapped up their stay and departed from the district today.

A special farewell ceremony was organised at Talamali by the district administration. Several dignitaries, including the Jaipur Sub-Collector, senior police officers, local MLA, and Congress leader Ramachandra Kadam, were present to bid adieu to the film team, along with enthusiastic residents of the region.

In their note, Rajamouli and Chopra expressed admiration for Koraput’s picturesque landscape and the kindness of its residents. They emphasised that the warmth and hospitality extended to them would remain unforgettable.
Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film, SSMB-29, was shot in Semiliguda, Koraput, and features an ensemble cast that includes Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Priyanka Chopra. The large-scale production involved around 500 crew members during the shoot.
Known for cinematic masterpieces such as Baahubali and ‘RRR,’ Rajamouli continues to push creative boundaries. With SSMB-29, Koraput has now found a place on the cinematic map, further showcasing its cultural and natural richness to a global audience.
