Renowned actor Mahesh Babu is set to grace the silver screen with his upcoming release, ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ hitting cinemas on January 12th, marking the auspicious occasion of Sankranthi. The film, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, has generated immense anticipation as the duo reunites after a prolonged hiatus.

Following the release of ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ Mahesh Babu is set to dive into SS Rajamouli's world of movies. The sheer scale and budget of this collaboration are causing seismic waves in the industry. Rajamouli, celebrated for his masterful storytelling, has gained widespread acclaim after the Baahubali franchise and the success of ‘RRR.’

As per Telugu 360 reports, the pre-production phase for Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu's upcoming project is already underway, with location scouting in progress. Filming is scheduled to commence in April 2024, and the production promises a global cinematic spectacle.

The colossal budget of approximately Rs 1500 crore has raised eyebrows, showcasing the grandeur Rajamouli envisions for this venture. The film is set to be shot in three different countries, including the lush Amazon forest, adding an unprecedented touch to the cinematic experience. A top Hollywood studio is set to co-produce alongside KL Narayan, enhancing the international collaboration.

In preparation for the ambitious project, Rajamouli has planned an extensive workshop for the entire team, with Mahesh Babu actively participating.

After the news of the movie’s Rs 1500 budget broke, social media has been abuzz about the big collaboration with some being hopeful of the movie shattering all records of Indian cinema.

“If it is getting made at Rs 1500 crore, imaging how much it may earn...Rs 4000 crore or more. Just can’t wait for the movie,” wrote an ‘X’ user.

'RRR' was made at Rs 550 crore and it earned over Rs 1350 crore. Baahubali 2 was made on Rs 250 crore and it earned over Rs 1500 crore. So, this project with Mahesh Babu can be expected to cross even Rs 4000 crore mark or it may breach Rs 5000 crore mark, setting new box office benchmark for the Indian cinema,” said a fan.

“Rs 4000 crore for Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli movie for sure. Curious to know the other star cast of the movie and the actress who will be roped in for the lead role in the big-budget movie,” wrote another user.

Meanwhile, ‘Guntur Kaaram’ marks Mahesh Babu’s third collaboration with Trivikram Srinivas, and features an ensemble cast including Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Brahmanandam, Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj. The film's music, including background score and songs, is scored by the talented S Thaman.
