  • Madhuri Dixit was spotted with a BJP leader watching the World Cup 2023 Semi-Finals at Wankhede Stadium.
  • There has been a strong buzz about the 90s superstar joining politics soon.

The 90s superstar Madhuri Dixit was recently spotted watching the India versus New Zealand cricket match during the World Cup 2023 Semi-Final. She was accompanied by her husband Dr. Sriram Nene and BJP leader Ashish Shelar. Her husband even shared some delightful clicks with other celebs who were present at the Wankhede Stadium to witness Virat Kohli surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s record.

In the last few days, rumours have been adrift that the diva is planning to join politics soon and has been in touch with BJP leaders for some time now. Surprisingly, she has also been spotted in the company of the current Deputy CM of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar, and the NCP leader Praful Patel. All these clicks and video clips have fuelled speculations that the dhak dhak girl of Bollywood is interested in joining politics and she may contest the Lok Sabha 2024 elections from North West Mumbai.

But it seems all these are just rumours and there is no confirmation about the same. Rather Madhuri Dixit may enter the Parliament but probably as a representative in Rajya Sabha similar to Jaya Bachchan or any other celebs from the entertainment field. More often leading political parties nominate celebs to represent the field of arts and sports in the Parliament.

After ruling Bollywood during the 90s Madhuri Dixit took a break of 14 years after her marriage. She is back to work now and has been a reality show judge for several dance shows on Indian television. MD has also acted in a few movies like Kalank and led the hit web series The Fame Game released on Netflix last year.

It was well received and ended on a cliffhanger with the fans expecting a sequel for the same. Earlier it was confirmed that Netflix has given permission for a sequel. But it seems that the OTT giant was not happy with the content for The Fame Game 2 and hence now the sequel is cancelled.
