Veteran actress Madhuri Dixit reportedly cried and refused to do a ‘molestation’ scene in Mithun Chakraborty’s hit movie ‘Prem Pratigyaa’. Starring Mithun and Madhuri, the movie was released in 1989 and was a hit at the time of its release.

However, Madhuri was extremely uncomfortable during a ‘molestation’ scene and cried on the sets refusing to do it, revealed veteran actor Ranjeet, known mostly for villainous roles. He revealed how he was waiting for the actress to do the scene, but she did not turn up.

“She started crying and refused to do the scene. I was unaware of the situation… Madhuri’s father in the movie was poor and used to pull a handcart. The molestation scene was on the handcart. I was waiting for her but nobody told me what was happening. Ultimately, she agreed,” recalled Ranjeet while speaking to ANI.

The veteran actor further added that such scenes are ‘part of our job’. “Veeru Devgan was the fight master. He said that we will keep rolling the camera,” Ranjeet recalled.

Talking about Prem Pratigyaa, the film was a commercial box office success and won Madhuri a nomination for Best Actress for her performance in the film.
